I was born in Williamsburg, VA a wonderful place I just recently managed to leave... and only temporarily. I grew up there. I joined the Colonial Williamsburg Fife and Drum Corps as a snare drummer (I’m sure you’ve seen the postcards at least) and went to Nature Camp in the summer. I also swam this whole time. My high school team won states twice. On a Fife and Drum trip to Boston, I went to Fenway Park and saw my first Major League baseball game. I was already a big fan but that started my love affair with the BoSox. I started dating a beautiful redhead after meeting her on a band trip at the end of freshman year of high school. I applied to the four big Virginia schools (wanting to avoid the out of state/ private fees my sister had incurred) and got into three of them. I chose to go to the College of William and Mary despite it being in my home town. The beautiful redhead went to UVA. At William and Mary I joined a fraternity (Beta Theta Pi) and have had a very good time while getting relatively decent grades (somewhere above the 3.0 range). I spent 3 months last summer working for the ACLU of Virginia and another 2 and a half months working for Virginia’s Democratic Governor Mark Warner before heading off to Oxford University for a semester abroad. Then I wandered around Europe for a month with the beautiful redhead... then broke up with the beautiful girl... now I'm back at W&M for my senior year.
